DESCRIPTION:CEA has undertaken a BC-focused update to the Community Energy Planning: Getting to Implementation in Canada project to identify best practices for bold climate action implementation. The update includes recommendations for local governments on how to effectively move from planning to actioning\, taking into account their local context\, unique opportunities\, and existing resources.  \nDuring this time\, CEA also launched the Big Moves Community of Practice\, a pilot that offered dedicated coaching support to communities to help them become implementation-ready for a Big Move project to reduce emissions and advance low/zero carbon communities.  \nPlease join us on Thursday\, February 9th\, from 1pm-2:30pm PST to learn more about the updated Getting to Implementation guide and discuss the findings\, as well as hear from the Community of Practice communities (Squamish\, Whistler\, and Courtenay) on their process to becoming implementation-ready for their Big Move projects.
