SUMMARY:Simplify Heat Pump Selection: there’s an app for that
DESCRIPTION:It’s not easy sizing and selecting the right heat pump for a given home. Ducted or ductless\, multiple or single zone\, heating capacity and cooling capacity\, limited warranties… it all adds up to a big headache. \nBut now you can make the decision-making process easier with the new Local Energy Efficiency Partnership (LEEP) Air-Source Heat Pump Sizing and Selection App. This free\, online tool from Natural Resources Canada is a user-friendly way for HVAC designers and contractors to quickly specify a heat pump project. It even lets contractors\, builders\, electricians\, homeowners and others collaborate and comment on proposed solutions within the app. \nJoin Community Energy Association and Ecolighten for a guided tour of the app and demonstrations of how it can help your work go faster and more smoothly. So\, you can spend less time in spec sheets and more time installing efficient systems. \nRegister on Eventbrite \n  \n  \nNotes\nEvent is free of charge\, but you must pre-register for the webinar you’d like to attend. \nIf you can’t attend the webinar – no problem! We’ll provide the slide deck and a link to the recording to all those who have registered. \nContinuing Professional Development (CPD) Points through BC Housing are pending. \n  \nAbout the Presenter\nRob Pope\, Senior Consultant\, Ecolighten Energy Solutions \nRob started working in the HVAC industry in the mid 1970s where he began his apprenticeship in high-end custom homes\, quickly earning tickets in sheet metal\, refrigeration and gas fitting. During this time\, he installed\, serviced and began designing the first wave of energy-efficient systems such as condensing gas furnaces and boilers\, heat recovery ventilation\, heat pumps and solar thermal. Rob was the Mechanical Consultant on the first residence in Canada to achieve a Canadian LEED® certification. As an active member of the industry he has served as an executive member of the HVCI and TECA industry associations\, advocating for higher standards and better education for its members.
