CEA’s Annual Report for 2023 was presented to our membership at the June 20, 2024 annual general meeting. Download the PDF:
We are proud that this year’s report illustrates record-breaking ways that CEA is advancing local climate action, including:
- 159 projects completed or ongoing—a doubling from just a few years ago in 2020
- More than 3,850 people reached through CEA events, workshops, webinars, and tours
- Revenue of nearly $5 million—up from less than $2 million in 2021
- 44 member-organizations joining with the staff to form a supportive and progressive community of practitioners
Not just a measure of CEA’s growth as an organization, these statistics illustrate the growing recognition of the importance of (and investment in) local climate action and community resiliency in Canada.
The annual report also provides information on the work of the CEA Board of Directors and staff to strengthen the organization as it goes through this period of rapid growth, both in terms of the number of employees and the organization’s reach beyond BC, what we call our “organizational deep retrofit.”
