Future-proofing construction in the Thompson-Okanagan

April 5 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm PDT

Free

The BC Energy Step Code puts British Columbia on a path to ensuring that all new buildings are built “net-zero energy ready” by 2032. At the same time, owners of existing buildings are starting to take on deep energy retrofits in order to save on energy bills and enjoy greater comfort.

In a province as big and diverse as BC, regional contexts are important for understanding how the Step Code and deep energy retrofits should best be implemented at the local level. The changing climate, new technologies, and emerging policies are important factors too.
