Understanding BC Building Code Update: Bracing to Resist Lateral Loads – Prince George
The BC Building Codes 2024 include new bracing requirements for wood framed Part 9 housing (i.e. homes and low-rise residential). These changes are meant to resist increased force from extreme winds and earthquakes.
