New Look. New Website. Same passion & purpose.
We have been collaborative, quiet advocates, and trusted independent advisors since our founding in 1995. We remain laser focused and deeply committed to guiding communities through bold and globally impactful action. And it’s time for a new look!
The scope of our work has evolved in the past 25 years, our team has grown (a lot!) and it was time to better tell the story of who we are and what we do. So we have updated our website and refreshed our brand and we’re excited to share it with you!
Our goal in designing this website was to provide visitors with an easier way to access the resources we have developed over the years and learn more about the solutions we can implement for local governments. We have streamlined the structure to make it easier for visitors looking for specific information, while creating interactive ways to highlight the diversity of our work. Of course we also hope that visitors will see the value of our unique perspective as the only non-profit organization working to support local government climate action, and continue to support CEA as members, partners and collaborators.
We encourage you to explore our key sections:
Our Experience - We have a tremendous amount of history supporting local climate action, and we want to share the outcomes of this experience. The resources section can help local governments plan and implement bold climate action, and we wanted to make it easier to find and view supportive materials. There are publications and webinar recordings but also easy access to the online resources we have created like Closing the Loop, BC Climate Leaders Playbook and Accelerate Kootenays.
Our People - Another key driver of our website and brand refresh is to better acknowledge that relationships are at the heart of CEA. We want you to get to know our passionate, deeply skilled staff and our diverse, committed Board of Directors and Members. This core network provides sage direction and allows us to stay in tune with emerging opportunities for local climate action and ensure our solutions are pragmatic.
Our Solutions - Our solutions are diverse and meet communities where they are. We have many success stories to build on now and we want to share them. As our Head of Community Energy Management, Megan Lohmann says, “tackling a big energy/climate initiative can feel less risky if you’ve got a success story to leverage.” We hope you are inspired by our past projects and can imagine how to adapt these solutions to your context. We can help you get there, too!
Take a look around, let us know what you think!
