Building A Legacy North Presents, “Step Up to Step Code” Week

Join us at one or several sub-regionally focused “Step up to Step Code” sessions to learn what it will take to successfully navigate Step Code’s “Performance Pathway”, soon to be required province-wide by the upcoming BC Building Code update. During these FREE, 1.5 hour sessions, Northern-based builders, contractors, sub-trades, energy advisors, designers, suppliers and others are invited to explore:
- Step Code 101– rationale, timelines and requirements for energy modeling, air tightness testing, and mechanical systems.
- Builder Best practices– hear from a local or regional builder about their Performance Pathway process, best practices, and key take-aways. Northern BC, cold-climate case-study review.
- Working with an Energy Advisor– Learn the best phase to engage an energy advisor and how to connect with them to ensure your project stays on track and on time.
- Performance pathway process– the steps and paperwork required: pre-built form, as-built form, final airtightness test, etc.
- Building A Legacy North initiative– support for local government and industry on Step Code implementation in the north. Find resources, recorded webinars, case-studies, upcoming events, etc.
